My name is Keith Franco, but you can call me Vegan Snack Daddy. I've been cooking and baking professionally for 19 years specializing in vegan cuisine for the past 10 or so years. I earned a degree in culinary arts and management in 2005 from the Culinary Institute at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. I have a wide range of experience in the kitchen including management, gluten free/vegan baking, recipe development, menu planning and catering. 

I've found my greatest passion in life is sharing delicious vegan food with the world (my personal form of activism). I started helping out my friend and girlfriend by supplying vegan food for their respective kava bars in South Florida; I never expected my side hustle would turn into a successful business, but fate had other plans. The customers loved my food, regardless of a vegan dietary preference (or lack thereof) and we couldn't keep it on the shelves. I knew I had to take this opportunity and build my brand and share delicious vegan food with my community.

Why Vegan?

I initially switched to a vegan lifestyle for health reasons in 2008. Through educating myself on the standard practices in the meat and dairy industries, I realized there was no way I could continue consuming animal products with my newly found knowledge. Through the years my approach to veganism has evolved from a healthier lifestyle to kindness and compassion for all living things. I believe that a vegan lifestyle has the biggest positive impact on environmental change, and it's one way I can do my part to create a better future for all of us.
